Notes Edit

  • Alfie was written by Hal David and Burt Bacharch for the 1966 film Alfie, starring Michael Caine and Shelley Winters. Although Dionne Warwick had the big hit (Scepter 12187), reaching #15 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, it was Cher's version (Imperial 66192) that was used in the movie soundtrack. "Alfie" was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song, but lost to "Born Free".
  • Elvis sang one line of "Alfie" before singing "I'll Remember You" at the Las Vegas Hilton on February 20, 1973.
